Colombo Motor Show 2013

Sep 10, 2013 (SLBO) - The International Motor & Accessories Exhibition well known Colombo Motor Show took stage during September 6,7 and 8 at the BMICH from 10 am to 10 pm. Asia Exhibition and Conventions presented the motor extravaganza for the sixth consecutive year.

The show is the second biggest event in the annual calendar of the BMICH and the largest motor industry rendezvous in Sri Lanka.Sujeewa Suriyaarachchi, Chairman, Colombo Motor Show Organizing Committee said that several new foreign players including Chinese and Korean companies participated this year and increased particpation was seen from lucrative players. Dinesh Fernando, Director Asia Exhibition said that the International Motor & Accessories Exhibition was the motor industry rendezvous in Sri Lanka.

At the Colombo Motor Show 2013, visitors were able to meet all vehicle dealers and vehicle service providers under one roof.

He said last year over 55,000 participated in the mega motor show and this year over 60,000 had participated during the three day event.

A variety of vehicle displays, motor cars, motor bikes, 4x4 jeeps, classic vanguard car archive, water boats and sports equipment, finance and leasing companies, motor insurance companies, spare parts, audio and video kits, vehicle cleaning equipment, tyres, batteries, vehicle security systems and a number of stalls under numerous motor subjects were offered to guests.

One of the new features this year was the VIP e-entrance facility for guests and over Rs. 10 million had been spent for advertising and promotion.
