Nations Trust Bank Primary Contributor to JKH Financial Sector Profits
Mar 10, 2013 (SLBO) - Sri Lanka's premier blue chip John Keells Holdings' (JKH) Quarter results for the period ended 31 December 2012 outlines that Nations Trust Bank (NTB) was the primary contributor to the Financial Services sector of the group.
Chairman Susantha Chaminda Ratnayake in his review highlights that the JKH Financial Services industry group's Profit Before Tax (PBT) of Rs. 734 million was an increase of 27% over the third quarter of the previous year [2011/12 Q3: Rs. 577 million].
He also goes on to add that The Union Assurance (UAL) raised Rs. 750 million through a rights issue to strengthen its capital base.
