Panasonic partners Swedish Trading Audio Visual Launches new range of file base broadcast solutions and service centre


Feb 14, 2013 (SLBO) - Panasonic, the leader in the development and manufacture of electronic products for a wide range of consumer, business, and industrial segments together with Swedish Trading Audio Visual, launched a series of new file base broadcast solutions in Sri Lanka. Through the partnership SENSYS Singapore Pte Ltd. principal distributor for Panasonic Broadcast Solutions in Sri Lanka will set up a complete service centre catering to the evolving technology and customer needs.

The launch ceremony and workshop themed "Panasonic File Base Broadcast Solutions" was held recently at Hotel Taj Samudra with the participation of principals from Panasonic, SENSYS, the management of Swedish Trading Audio Visual (Pvt) Ltd. and a clientele of over 50 professionals in the broadcasting and AV production industry.

Commenting about the operations in Sri Lanka, Khoo Cher Leong, Managing Director SENSYS Singapore Pte Ltd said, "We've been in the Sri Lankan market for over 10 years, this is a period to move another step forward. We are happy to announce the setting up of SENSYS Singapore Service Centre to serve the broadcasters and production houses in the country. Basically we will be training staff in Sri Lanka to repair and also provide the much needed technical support and consultation for our valued clients. This also means that whatever technical product we introduce to the market we will be keeping on upgrading the same in this country, which will provide our customers the latest innovation to their businesses".

Available products include technologies such as, AVC-Intra, DVCPROHD, DVCPRO50, DVCPRO and DV. Models include AG-AC90, AG-AC160, AG-HPX255, AK-HC3800 (Studio Camera System) and AG-HPX600.

Anuruddha Gunasekara, General Manager - Swedish Trading Audio Visual (Pvt) Ltd. said, "Sri Lanka has immense potential to upgrade its current technology to the latest; this is an opportunity we will be targeting through our partnership with Panasonic and SENSYS. Prospects are available with broadcasters, productions houses, rental houses, universities and government institutes. Kotaro Sakuma, Manager - Broadcast Regional Operations Center - Panasonic Systems Asia Pacific said, "For Panasonic Corporation this is the first time we are coming in to the Sri Lanka market catering to the broadcasting segment. We will be providing all our expertise, knowledge transfer with regards to the new innovations and technologies in the market through supporting the Service Centre".
